In the second quarter of 2025, the vacancy rate of grade A office real estate in Beijing amounted to **** percent. The vacancy rate had been rising steadily since early 2018, spiking in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the same period, the rent had decreased and the supply increased. Nonetheless, Beijing remained the city which had the highest office space rent among large cities in mainland China.
