Throughout Asia, over ** million metric tons of e-waste was generated in 2022. Of this volume, just under ** percent was documented as formally collected and recycled. Eastern Asia had the highest share of e-waste collected, at **** percent. The region includes both China and Japan, who are among the largest producers of e-waste worldwide.
