The first cases of COVID-19 in Mexico were recorded on February 28, 2020. As a result, lockdown measures were instated by the federal government through a program known as 'Jornada de sana distancia'. The lockdown was in place in a national level between March 23 and May 20, 2020. According to a survey carried out in the country during May 2020, almost half of respondents considered their mental health to have been very or somewhat affected by the situation. In comparison, ** percent of Mexicans surveyed stated not feeling at all affected.
