According to a July 2020 survey, a majority of Democrats believe that poor people are most in need of a second round of COVID-19 stimulus spending, while Republicans are split between the working and middle classes. During the survey, ** percent of respondents who identified with the Democratic party chose poor people. Conversely, ** percent of Republicans selected poor people as the group most in need, while another ** percent chose middle-class people.
