A majority of U.S. adults support continuing increased unemployment benefits due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to an August 2020 survey. With the additional payments having expired on July 31, 2020, ** percent of respondents believed that Congress should renew the payments at the full amount of *** U.S. dollars per week, while another ** percent thought the payments should be renewed but at a lower amount.
