Since May 2020, retail sales of construction materials in Brazil have shown signs of recovery, after a drop during March and April, following the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in the country. The first COVID-19 case in Brazil was reported on February 26. In the following month, retail sales of construction materials in the country dropped by nearly ** percent, in comparison to equivalent days in February. In contrast, in September, sales increased by more than ** percent when compared to pre-pandemic days.
