In 2020, the rate of digital isolation in the Belgian population varied from one region to another. Although digital isolation was lower in households than in individuals living on their own, one out of ten households had no internet access in 2020. The highest share of people with no access to the internet was found indeed found in individuals and especially those living in Wallonia. In this region, the rate of individuals with no internet reached 27 percent.
