Ocean Alliance includes COSCO, OOCL, CMA CGM, and Evergreen, while 2M Alliance is made up of Maersk and MSC. Together, the three alliances account for 80 percent of the container market.

Deployed capacity of container ships on the Asia-Europe route by alliance 2020
As a result of the global disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the container capacity deployed on the Asia-Europe route decreased in the first quarter of 2020, showing the first signs of recovery in April. The capacity deployed by Maersk and MSC (2M Alliance) plunged from *** million TEUs in January to less than *** million TEUs in February.
