Between 2012 and 2022, the number of students in upper secondary school in Norway remained around 200,000. In the academic year 2021/22, there were 420 upper secondary schools in the country. Upper secondary schools in Norway are usually divided into two main programs: One preparing the students for higher education, and one focusing on vocational educations.
