In 2024, the number of dengue cases reported in Latin America and the Caribbean reached over 13,000 cases. This is the highest number of dengue infections registered in the region during the period analyzed. In the first months of 2025, the number of cases reached more than 3,000. By far, this mosquito-borne disease is more prevalent in Brazil than in any other country in Latin America.
