The number of money laundering offenses brought before Romanian courts has remained relatively stable between 2015 and 2019. The most significant increase was recorded in 2018 when the number of crimes increased by about 14.9 percent compared to 2017. In 2020, only 43 money laundering crimes were brought before the Romanian courts, representing the lowest number of offenses since 2015.
