The survey conducted in May 2019 questioned urban citizens from Vietnam's two most populous cities as to when they think the new metro in their respective city will start operating. In Hanoi, ** percent of respondents expected the metro to start operating in the next six months. Respondents from Ho Chi Minh City were less optimistic, with a majority of ** percent expecting their new metro lines to start operating in 24 months or later.
