Danish girls and women between 15 and 24 years old were the most unsatisfied with their looks when compared to the rest of the population, according to a representative survey published in 2019. ** percent of the respondents in this age group answered that they were rather or very unsatisfied with their looks. That was twice as many as the boys and men from the corresponding age group. However, the share of people who were very critical of their appearance, declined for both men and women with increasing age.
