In 2019, midsize publisher Chicago Review Press gained 141 titles from its purchase of Council Oaks Books, as well as 63 titles from Amberjack Publishing. After F+W Media's bankruptcy, Penguin Random House acquired two thousand titles, and when children's nonfiction house Jump! acquired Bearport, it added 1,050 curriculum-aligned titles to its existing catalog.
