In a survey conducted by in 2019, regarding the opinion of the flood defense infrastructure in selected countries across the Asia Pacific region, ** percent of respondents stated that the flood defense infrastructure in China was either very or fairly good. Contrastingly, only ** percent of the respondents stated that Japan's flood defense infrastructure was either very or fairly good.
