The value of government construction performed in Cuba amounted to nearly *** billion Cuban pesos in 2018, up from **** billion pesos a year earlier. This figure has more than doubled in comparison to 2014, when state construction in the country added up to **** billion pesos.
Construction value includes architectural work (such as residential and industrial buildings, building for health , education, tourism and agricultural purposes, as well as other types of non-residential buildings) and civil engineering work (hydraulic and hydrological works, electrical networks, roads and other civil engineering works). It also includes construction maintenance.
