The sources provides the following information about the methodology: "An individual who plays two different games in the same month is counted as two active users for that month when we aggregate DAU and MAU across games. In addition, an individual who plays the same game on two different devices during the same
month (e.g., an iPhone and an iPad) is also counted as two active users for each such month when we average or aggregate DAU and MAU over time."
