During the switchover from analog to digital television in Russia in 2019, ** percent of survey participants admitted to have experienced difficulties. The main problem mentioned by respondents was that they had to purchase additional equipment, referring to set-top boxes which converted TV signals, so that they did not have to buy a new TV set after the switchover. This issue affected percent of the surveyed population. Furthermore, percent submitted that the cost of such equipment was problematically high.
