* The study analyzed 2.1 billion Russian-language messages in social media (Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, blogs, forums, public messenger channels, and comments to news articles) from August 15 to September 15, 2019. In 124 thousand messages, podcasts were mentioned.
While investigating popularity of platforms, the study took into account their mentions in the context of podcast discussions.

Podcast platforms most mentioned in Russian social media 2019
Youtube was the most mentioned podcast listening platform in Russian social media in 2019, with over *** thousand analyzed messages discussing it as a podcast source. Among other services with the highest number of mentions between August 15 and September 15, 2019, were divisions of telecommunications companies, such as Apple Podcasts, VK Podcasts, Yandex.Music, or Google Podcasts.
