The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) aims to measure the factors and policies that make it attractive to develop the travel & tourism sector in different countries. The index is made up of four sub-indexes: Enabling Environment; Travel and Tourism Policy and Enabling Conditions; Infrastructure; and Natural and Cultural Resources. 136 countries are evaluated. The Index scores on a scale from 1 to 7 with 7 being the best rating.
In 2019, the infrastructure of Jamaica received a Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index score of * out of seven. That year, the sub-indices with the highest score were travel and tourism policy and enabling conditions, as well as enabling environment for investment with a score of ***.
