Between 2018 and 2019, the sales value of organic aged cheese generally increased in Italy. More specifically, the selling of Grana and other similar cheeses in shavings rose by over one thousand percentage points, a significant increase and the largest one among the different organic dairy products. Nevertheless, Grana in big pieces still accounted for the most profitable selling with 2.4 million euros in 2019. On the contrary, the sales value of portioned lactose-free cheeses dropped between June 2018 and June 2019, going from 63.6 thousand euros to 45.2 thousand euros.
