In 2022, it was estimated that nearly 57 percent of the indigenous population in Mexico suffered from social vulnerabilities due to their lack of access to health care services, while non-indigenous people without access to health care accounted for 37.1 percent. In that year, the rate of social vulnerability for lack of health care stood at an average of 39.1 percent at the national level.
