We doelen hier dus niet op overheidsmaatregelen, maar wel de letterlijke gevolgen die klimaatverandering op onze aarde - en daarmee Nederland -heeft." (English: "To what extent do you expect the consequences of climate change to affect the Netherlands in the coming 50 years? We are not pointing to government measures, but rather the literal effects of climate change on our planet - and thus the Netherlands.")

The results have been weighted to be representative for the following six variables: age, gender, education, civil status, country-wide distribution and political preferences as measured following the general election of 2017.

The survey results suggest that as of 2018, the majority of people in the Netherlands foresaw the consequences of climate change over the next 50 years to be significant. Just over ** percent of respondents expected climate change to have a very or reasonably strong impact on the Netherlands, whereas just *** percent of respondents did not think climate change would affect the Netherlands at all.
