Note: According to the source, the vulnerability index was compiled through a comprehensive study of relevant environmental indicators along with a guided methodology to aggregate results. The index aims to provide a quantified status of vulnerability and is largely conceptual in its utility. The value does not have any stand-alone practical significance.
Socio-economic vulnerability was calculated using the following sub-indicators: population density, percentage of marginal farmers, Livestock to human ratio, per capita income, number of primary health centers per 100,000 households, percentage of women in the overall workforce.
