The production of grapes in Brazil decreased by *** percent in 2018, when compared to the previous year, reaching approximately *** million metric tons. Despite the decrease, this is still the second highest output in the indicated period. With the area planted with grapes in the country remaining relatively stable in the past years, the crop's output is mainly influenced by the production yield. Rio Grande do Sul is the largest grape producing state in Brazil.
