The amount of wealth controlled by the world's population of super rich individuals continues to increase every year. According to , HNWIs (high net worth individuals controlling assets of $1 million or more) controlled just under $59 trillion worldwide in 2015.
Asian millionaires now control more wealth than those in North America. Driven by services, technology and healthcare, Asia's millionaires are now worth $17.39 trillion compared to North America's $16.61 trillion. The global HNWI population is also growing, expanding 4 percent between 2014 and 2015 to 15.4 million.
