Younger audiences watch horror more than older groups, according to ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æâ€™s Global Consumer Survey. As our chart shows, of respondents who watch digital content, nearly half of IGen and Gen Z adults say they generally opt for horror online, versus 43 percent of Millennials, 37 percent of Generation X and only 23 percent of Baby Boomers.
This is translating to box offices too. According to , Gen Z adults are driving Hollywood’s horror season in the U.S. this year, with one in three reporting that they had seen a horror movie in the cinema in the past month.
