Online education in Poland - statistics & facts
The popularity of online education or distance learning has been on the rise in recent years. As a result, the share of Polish internet users participating in online courses doubled between 2015 and 2022. However, the sharp increase in online learning participants was also due to a new learning model. Poland's government introduced remote learning in March 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As a result, school pupils and higher education students switched to learning online instead of in a traditional classroom.
