Parcel market in Germany - statistics & facts
Germany has the largest parcel market in Europe, more than three times the size of the second-largest market, France. Over the last two decades, the courier, express, and parcel services (CEP) market in Germany experienced a period of substantial growth, growing more than doubling in revenue, and reaching 27.6 billion euros in 2024. Similarly, the number of parcels more than doubled during the same timespan, reaching over 4.6 billion in 2024. As revenue in the parcel market has has been growing, so has the revenue per shipment in the CEP market. Since 2020 there has been a steady rise from 5.81 euros to 6.44 euros in 2024.
