Originating as a tower crane manufacturer, Liebherr Group has since expanded its operations into manufacturing cranes and aerial platforms, earthmovers, concrete handling equipment, machine tools, automatic systems, household appliances, material handling equipment and mining equipment. The company was founded in Germany, but has since moved its headquarters to Bulle, Switzerland. Liebherr currently employs a workforce of almost 54,000 employees worldwide, the majority of which were based in European countries such as Germany and Austria, as well as in Australia and Asia.
