Artificial intelligence is making major waves in France, mirroring its rapid growth across the globe. Determined to become a powerhouse of AI innovation in Europe, France is ramping up its efforts—and the numbers tell a compelling story. The country's AI market is projected to soar from around 4.7 billion euros in 2024 to nearly 20 billion by 2030. To fuel this ambitious trajectory, the French government had already committed 1.5 billion euros during the first phase of its national AI strategy, between 2018 and 2022. The second phase, from 2022 to 2025, should see further investments in AI reach one billion euros. A large slice of that funding is dedicated to AI infrastructure, research, and talent. Moreover, a key pillar of the French strategy revolves around accelerating AI adoption by companies to boost their performance and competitiveness.
