Nigeria is a key contributor to the natural gas export industry not only in Africa but also worldwide, accounting for some three percent of the global natural gas export market share. However, the country has seen some downturns in liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports in recent times, largely due to limited feedstock gas and the effects of natural disasters on the overall production stream.
