Motorcycle industry in Turkey- statistics & facts
The emergence of the motorcycle industry in Turkey commenced at a late stage, as motorcycle manufacturing gained momentum in the 1980s. Since then, numerous Turkish enterprises have started fabricating motorcycles, in response to the escalating demand for two-wheeled transportation due to the increasing population in Turkish big cities. Particularly, Istanbul, the city with the highest population, had a fleet of 701,765 motorcycles on its roads, which constituted the largest proportion of the Turkish motorcycle fleet in 2024.
