Children and media in France - statistics & facts
Born and raised with (almost) unlimited access to technology, Generation Z and Alpha are the true 鈥渄igital natives鈥. The access to electronic devices, such as smartphones or tablets, as well as smart technology and artificial intelligence, has become more widespread than ever among French children. As of 2024, almost 20 percent of them spent more than three hours a day in front of a screen. In 2022, children aged between one to six spent more than six hours on the Internet, more than in front of a television screen or a game console, and this figure only increased with age.
