Despite Hungary’s decreasing population, the economic activity rate has increased in the country over the past decade due to a growing number of people seeking employment to keep up with the rising cost of living. In 2024, the economic activity rate for the population aged 15 to 74 reached over 68 percent, marking an almost six percent increase from 2018.
