This report presents data on sexual health in Nigeria. It focuses on five aspects related to sexual health which have a major impact in the country: reproductive health, contraception use, HIV, STDs, and female genital mutilation. The first chapter provides data on reproductive health, while the second chapter gives information on the use of contraception, both chapters focusing mainly on female health. The third chapter shows data on HIV, its prevalence, and the transmission knowledge among the population. Thereafter, the report gives an overview on other sexually transmitted diseases, depicting also data on the diffusion on the whole continent. Lastly, the fifth chapter illustrates data on female genital mutilation, a serious health risk for many women in Nigeria.
