This report provides an insight into the flexible office space market in selected cities in Europe, and the market in the United Kingdom (UK). Flexible workspace is a new phenomenon in the real estate market. As a response to the increased demand for more flexible terms in office leasing, that accomodates the dynamic needs of businesses, commercial real estate owners are stepping away from the traditional fixed, long-term leasing. Instead, a larger share of the office stock is being leased as flexible on the market. The new model includes coworking, where individuals and small companies can rent desks on a monthly, and even daily basis, as well as serviced offices, which facilitate entire small and medium enterprises, allowing them to up- and downsize as they need.
