It focuses on the main players in the battery industry, as well as on the main battery chemistries. It addresses the production of critical minerals for batteries in the first chapter, followed by a section on battery manufacturing, including battery components and battery cells. A chapter on battery end-use sectors, with graphs on battery electric vehicles and battery energy storage systems, follows. A comparison of battery performance from the major battery producers and environmental sustainability concerns of the battery value chain are treated in two further chapters.
