Cleantech is the broad term that encompasses various technologies that are being developed to protect the environment or tackle climate change. Often used interchangeably with the term climate tech, cleantech can be applied to any industry or sector, from power and transportation, to agriculture and wastewater. Technologies within the cleantech umbrella include, among many others, renewables, carbon capture and storage (CCS), alternative fuels, energy storage, heat pumps, and electric vehicles.
