Stress levels in India have been on the rise, specifically in the workplace. More and more Indians are reeling under severe anxiety, repeated episodes of depression, and related psychological ailments. In India, 66 percent of all deaths are attributed to noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), and stress is known to be a major contributor to NCDs. This report highlights the current state of stress in India. It underscores key figures relative to the risk factors of long-term stress, and the common symptoms. Aside from that, it sheds light on behavioral, psychological, and occupational stress across the country.
