This statistic presents the total number of deaths due to hypertensive heart diseases in Spain in 2017, by autonomous community. In that year, Andalusia was the autonomous community with the highest number of deaths due to this type of diseases, reaching approximately 21 hundred deaths. The number of deaths in Spain due to this type of accidents amounted to 12,560 deaths in 2017, which represents a marked increase over previous years.
