The value of internal travel and tourism consumption in Chile continuously increased during the past decade, from 12.48 billion U.S. dollars in 2010 to nearly 19.1 billion dollars in 2019. This represents a growth of nearly 53 percent in the period. In 2019, leisure tourism accounted for 85 percent of Chile's total tourism spending.
