The coronavirus pandemic caused severe disruptions in the hospitality industry. In Greenland, this can be seen in the number of rented rooms in 2020. Throughout that year, the least number of rented rooms was recorded in April, reaching as low as *** in the region of Aavannaata and Qeqertalik, ** percent less than the previous month. The number of rented rooms started to increase in the succeeding months. In early 2021, the figures started declining again.
