The statistic shows the value of individual life insurance gross direct premiums written on the domestic market in Italy from 2004 to 2019. It can be seen that, the value of gross written premiums increased almost twofold from 2007 (56.3 billion euros) to 2015, when it peaked at nearly 110 billion euros. However, in the following years, the value of individual life insurance gross direct premiums written in Italy decreased, reaching just over 99 billion euros in 2019.
