This statistic shows the share of children and teenagers in Canada who choose to read in their free time as of February 2017, broken down by gender. The findings show that as of the date of survey, girls were more likely to choose to read in their free time than boys, with ** percent of girls aged 6-17 years old saying that they agreed with this statement, compared to ** percent of boys who said the same.
