The global aggregated turnover of the PSA and Renault Groups amounted to some billion euros in 2020, a drop of ** percent year-over-year. The groups' sales revenue had been steadily rising until 2019, when global political uncertainty and economic slowdown impacted the automotive sector. Lockdowns and production halts related to the COVID-19 pandemic further contributed to the 2020 revenue drop. In 2021, Peugeot and Renault were the best-selling petrol car brands in France.
