Since 2007, Primark has significantly increased its share in the UK clothing market, going from *** to *** percent in 2018.  Primark’s consistent growth over the years helped place the value retailer closely behind Marks & Spencer, who led the UK clothing market in 2008 and 2018.    

Strong UK presence

  Primark’s strengthened presence in the UK is traceable in the number of stores the retailer operates in the country as well. As of September 2018, the number of stores Primark owned reached a peak in the UK. In April 2019, the retailer opened its largest ever store in Birmingham, covering an impressive retail space of ** sq ft.    

Growth without online shop

   Primark is one of the rare fashion retailers that still don’t sell online. While using social media for marketing purposes, the retailer sticks strictly to the high street. Despite this, Primark continued delivering growth with soaring sales worldwide.
