In 2023, the consolidated budget expenditure of the Central State Administration Authorities on health amounted to over 6.9 billion euros, up from the 6.7 billion euros reported in the previous year. The health budget expenditure assigned to the Central State Administration Authorities in Spain more than doubled compared to the values registered in 2003, which reached approximately 2.4 billion euros. In the last year, roughly 15.7 million euros were allocated to the National Plan on Drugs.
