Merchant wallet users are respondents that indicated enrollment in Starbucks App, Walmart Pay, Dunkin’ Donuts App, and similar, merchant- or retailer-based wallet apps.
Issue wallet users are respondents that indicated enrollment in Chase Pay, Capital One Wallet, Wells Fargo Wallet, Masterpass or similar issuer-based wallet apps.
Non-payment wallet owners were those who indicated that they had a wallet on their mobile device, but did not indicate ownership of a Pays, Issuer, or Merchant Wallet.
This statistic presents the leading types of mobile wallets accessed by mobile wallet users in the United States as of January 2017. During the survey period, ** percent of respondents indicated that they were enrolled in Apple, Android and/or Samsung Pay.
