In 2019, Milan was the province in the Italian region of Lombardy with the highest income of State museums, monuments and archaeological areas. As reported by the study, it recorded an income of roughly 6.2 million euros. By contrast, in the provinces of Cremona, Pavia, Monza and Brianza, and Varese all the State cultural attractions had free entrance, thus resulting in an income of zero euros in the selected year.
